Anyfile Notepad is a Google Drive compatible app that let's you open any type of files on Google Drive and Dropbox.
IMPORTANT NOTE : This program is a simple text editor. It will open any type of files as text and may be unreadable by a human. This will not allow you to manipulate binary files or files that have a proprietary encoding (such as pdf, doc, etc). It is meant to be a text editor for simple text files, code, or configuration files. This app allows you to open any file stored on your Google Drive directly in your web browser. You can either open it directly through the Google Drive UI or through the built-in file explorer. If anyone doesn't know how to change permission to your Google Drive and uninstall app, go to "manage your google account" setting on your chrome browser (click on your profile image on the top right corner of the page). Then click on "Security>(Scroll down to 'Singing into other sites')>Signing in with Google>Anyfile Notepad" then from there, you should be able to stop the app from accessing your Google account and Google Drive. In spite of the numerous _very_ negative reviews, this app works fine and appears to have ongoing support. It does need extensive permissions to access your Drive, which certainly could be a factor in deciding whether to use it. Do check out the author's website and FAQ.
