Overview
Choose an image to create an overlay for tracing in your web-based drawing or sketching apps.
Image Tracer Overlay is designed to simplify the tracing process in web-based drawing apps or games. Tracing means transferring an image into line work from a photo or artwork. With this extension, you can upload an image, rotate, zoom, and reposition it for alignment. Note: This tool does not include drawing functionality itself. It works as a visual overlay to assist in your drawing or tracing workflow. Placement vs Tracing Mode: When the menu is visible, the chosen image is in Placement Mode — this allows you to move, resize, and adjust the image's position and alignment. In this mode, you cannot draw through the image. When you toggle the menu off (using the bottom-right button), your image enters Tracing Mode. This applies the placement settings and lets you draw or click through the image. The image lock feature controls whether the image stays fixed relative to the page's scroll position or your viewport.
