SSSnip! It is the Simple Screen Snip! This extension has one main function and it does it very well: take screen shots of a selected area on a webpage. This extension is still in early beta development. If you observe any bugs or have any feature requests please send them!

This just doesn't work ! Tried adding and removing several times- but no luck :(

There seems to be some bug that only snips a portion of the selected area. Does not function as intended.
