New tab opens blank page. The background color is determined by the system light/dark mode preference. Also works properly in Incognito mode, if you allow it. In Incognito mode, the standard dark theme is preserved. No extra permissions required. Unobtrusive tab icon. Open source.*

There are a number of similar extensions, but I couldn't find one that exactly fulfilled all of the above criteria. So I made this.
