Easily understand any formula in Google Sheets with Formula Explorer's convenient pop-up window. Simply press Ctrl+Q or click the extension icon to reveal it. After analysis, Formula Explorer breaks down the formula step-by-step, showing you the calculation process and corresponding values.
Formula Explorer helps you trace precedents effortlessly. Precedent cells are highlighted in blue, and selecting a row takes you directly to that cell. Explore each layer of the formula calculation within the same window, navigating with your mouse or keyboard arrows. Click anywhere in the formula itself to quickly jump to the element and its value.
Handle even the trickiest formulas with ease. Formula Explorer makes it easy to analyze complex calculations. Logical functions (IF, IFS, CHOOSE) show active branches in bold, while VLOOKUP, OFFSET, INDEX, and INDIRECT functions display their target locations.
Now with support for the LET function, Formula Explorer breaks down assigned variables step-by-step, helping you understand and evaluate complex, reusable logic with clarity.
Starting from version 1.1.3, Formula Explorer provides analysis for Google Sheets in all major locales. Detection of special functions is now supported in English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, and Russian.
